ABOUT OUR OUTREACH PROGRAMMES... |

Toastmasters Clubs around the world pride themselves
not only on the way in which members develop,
but also on how the local community in general
gains by having a Toastmaster club active in
the area.
We at Oshawa Toastmasters are proud, and quite
rightly so for our "Outreach Programme" that
has been developed over the years through the
demand for our experience and services.
When one realises that all members lead other
lives, outside of Toastmasters, and that we
are a non-profit organisation it is quite remarkable
what can, and is being achieved within the community
through Oshawa Toastmasters.
 We
conduct many outreach programmes for local organisations,
and are more than willing to design and run programmes
that suit your particular organisations needs.
Whether your need be to improve you groups communication
skills, developing presentation skills, learning
the craft of speech making, or perhaps conducting
your own speech contest, then Oshawa Toastmasters

SPEECH CRAFTERS |

This is a wonderful programme that is conducted
within schools, community centres, Associations,
Colleges, in fact anywhere that interested groups
of people meet. It's a 6 week programme, in
which participants gain inside knowledge and
experience on many aspects of both public speaking
and organisational skills.
 Each
week participants will have the opportunity
to actually Chair, and run each meeting. Participants
will share the roles of Chair, Secretary, Public
Relations, Membership, Education, Finance, and
Sergeant At Arms.
There will also be the opportunity to learn
the skills behind "impromptu" speaking with
the ever popular TABLE TOPICS - a firm favourite
with Toastmasters around the world. Plus of
course, everyone will have the opportunity to
present prepared speeches to the group.
With a presentation of trophies and awards
at the end, this makes it a most memorable experience
for all concerned.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME
 Our
youth of today are our leaders of tomorrow and
Oshawa Toastmasters have always played a significant
role in the development of their talent. It is
confidence that develops leadership and it is
through our YOUTH LEADERSHIP programme that that
confidence starts to shine.
Many of our Toastmasters here in Oshawa have experience
in working with youth organisations, in seeking
out and developing their talent.
Better communication develops better understanding
and with Oshawa Toastmasters we develop both!

One aspect of Toastmasters is our ability to provide local people who can,
and are willing to be a guest speaker at your local function. This part of our programme is really
aimed at those non profit organisations who, just like us are contributing to the local community.
